Bing’s new AI chatbot is probably the most powerful chat bot available publicly at least for now I’ve been playing around with Bing chat and taking the time to learn how to use this quirky but really useful AI tool is going to serve you well now and into the future

As this whole Space accelerates rapidly I for one want to keep up so in this video I’m sharing the tips and tricks I found to be most useful in getting the most out of being AI so first up you have to get access to Bing’s new chat

Feature and it is not automatic so to get access you’re going to want to go over to bing.com and if you haven’t already yet gotten access there should be a button here that says to sign up for the waitlist you’re going to click that do what it tells you and wait for

An email to come through granting you access what you are going to need to do is download the edge browser if you’re using your laptop or download the Bing app using mobile because as you can see this button over here going to click that to open up the Bing chat getting

Access was taking a little while I think it was one or two weeks before I got in at the end of February it took me about eight days but once you get in you can open up bang chat and this is what it looks like very similar to chat gbt in

That you simply go down here into the chat box type your question or your instructions and start chatting with Bing there are a few limitations to keep in mind before we get started Bing does have some more strict guard rails than Chachi PT does so it is good to keep

These things in mind when you are crafting prompts and using it to get what you want so first up there is a limit of eight prompts before Bing forgets what was said previously in the conversation so as you know with Chachi BT chat EBT remembers what you said

Beforehand in the conversation and it can use that to build on what it’s saying and what it is outputting but with Bing that is a limit to eight prompts before you have to start over again now beyond the hard limits to how much you can use it there are of course

Some similar limitations as with charge EBT in that Bing also does make up or hallucinate a lot of things it does lie for that reason it is best to fact check anything that it says but Bing does make that a lot easier than chat TPT because

It does provide its sources and you can click on them and look them up Bing is not good at math so if you are asking it to do calculations or solve things with numbers just be prepared that it’s probably going to lie and you’re not going to get accurate results but the

Biggest frustration people are having with Bing so far is that it sometimes shuts down the conversation or refuses to continue the conversation if it doesn’t like something for some weird reason or it’ll even start writing an answer and then delete it and refuse to go forward so it will do this sometimes

If it thinks something is mean if it thinks something is dishonest or unethical and it doesn’t always make sense when and why it does this so be prepared for that so here are the tips and tricks to getting the best interesting and useful results out of

Being AI if you’ve used chat GPT before working with Bing is basically the same process except for one big difference and that Bing is connected to the internet so you can ask it to look things up before it gives you an answer if you recall chatgpt is not connected

To the internet so it only knows things that happened up until 2021. with Bing we don’t have that issue so it is much more powerful so the first tip to get the best results out of Bing is to make sure you’re choosing the right conversation style and if I scroll down

Here just above the chat box you can see we have three choices we have creative balanced or precise and in most cases you’re going to want to choose more creative to get the best most interesting results otherwise it’s going to sound boring and robotic with one

Exception is if you are using Bing to do stuff with numbers to calculate stuff you want to try to go with more balanced and more precise it doesn’t really give you anything very interesting but you could play around with that if you want but for the most part we’re going to be

Going with more creative tip number two is to always always always ask Bing to search or look something up as part of your prompt because this is the major strength of Bing over Chad gbt and that it is connected to the internet so you want to make use of that otherwise you

Might as well just use jagbd and if I just type a question here to show you what this looks like what is the current price of Bitcoin you can see anytime you have this little check and it says searching for whatever that means you have gotten it to perform a search and

It’s going to reference what it finds in the answer it gives you you can see it has its references so if I want to double check that anything it says is correct I can click on those links and make sure it is not lying to me if you

Are not getting this little check mark and getting it to search for You Bing outputs are generally comparable to what chat gbt would give out let me show you what I mean so let’s say I want to write me a paragraph about going on a walk

Through a forest so as you can see with this example it didn’t look anything up and it’s simply going to write me a paragraph about walking through a forest so if I read this paragraph it’s pretty General it’s it’s all right it’s nothing special but let’s try and get it to look

Something up beforehand so we can improve this and get a better piece of writing so instead let’s ask it to look up the writing style of Stephen King then use what you’ve learned to improve the paragraph okay so you can see Bing has searched for writing style of Stephen King so and

Then it gives me a little bit of analysis on what it found the references the resources it used and tells me what Stephen King’s writing style is like and then it goes and rewrites the story about walking through a forest in Stephen King’s style and immediately you

Can see it has a more scary feel to walking through a forest it focuses more on I stepped into the forest and felt a chill run down my spine the air was cold and stale like a tomb so it’s taking the style of Stephen King that it learned

About in its search and applying that to the paragraph about the walk in the forest and I just want to point out I mentioned before that there’s a limit of eight prompts before you have to reset and Bing forgets what was said beforehand that has now been upped to 10

So you can see down here this we’re at prompt three of ten so if you want to make sure that Bing is doing a search and including that in your prompt this is the general prompt structure that I found works for me so your prompt structure looks like look up or research

Search X and then use that to Y tip number three is to make use of Bing suggestions for what to ask next and you can see here at the bottom that Bing is giving me some suggestions for what to say to continue the conversation now these aren’t necessarily that useful for

This specific instance but it often does come up with some good ways that you can keep conversing with it and this is really helpful because talking to an AI is pretty foreign to most of us it’s not it doesn’t come naturally so having Bing help you out by suggesting where to take

The conversation next can help you get unstuck so here just says I could say that’s scary write me another paragraph or how do you feel about horror probably not directions that I want to take maybe I do want it to write me another paragraph in a different way but I could

Click that and continue on the conversation being wealth also sometimes end its output with another question asking to clarify or if you want to dig deeper and expand on what it already gave you and that could be really useful as well tip number 4 is to use Bing to

Gather and analyze data and since it is connected to the internet it is really really good at this so for example you can get it to do a search then pull all that relevant information it finds and put together a chart for you say I was

In the market to buy a new car I want to get a small car that is new in 2023. so I could ask Bing to search for the best compact cars for 2023 look up the make the price the mileage the safety rating and anything else I might want to know

In making my decision so let’s put that into a prompt okay so Bing has searched for best small cars in 2023 and it has put together a chart with all of the things that I requested so we have each car the price the mileage and the safety ratings maybe

I wanted to take this a step further I’m still not sure which car I want to buy so I can ask Bing to write a report on what it found discuss each option and why the best one outperforms the others all right so it is writing its report

Right now it’s going to take a little while it looks pretty long um but it is discussing each of the options for the cars that I have in that chart and hopefully it’s going to tell me why the winner is the winner so it’s telling me the best option is the Honda

Civic and it gives me a list of reasons why it is the best option so I could go out there and buy that car now if I wanted to without having to do all of the research on my own and that ties Us in nicely with tip number five which is

To use multiple prompts to get better results and you can see in the example I just completed I didn’t ask for all of this at once and I first told Bing to look up best small cars in 2023 and create the chart then I asked it to write a report comparing them by

Breaking this up into multiple prompts you reduce your chances of confusing and overwhelming Bing and getting the problem where it pleases to answer you or answers and deletes itself and this is really useful for writing tasks so instead of me going write me a story about a dog who becomes friends with

Bear then it’s going to write itself and then maybe that doesn’t come out the way I want and I want to say write me a scary story about a dog who becomes friends with a bear and then maybe I don’t like that either and then I write

Again and this is going to regenerate the whole story from scratch each time with slight variations but instead oh yeah and as you can see bang was just writing me a huge story and it went and deleted it now and and is telling me to try different topics so this is the

Quirkiness of Bing that a lot of people struggle with um but anyways instead of trying different prompts and getting the whole story generated I might want to generate a story and then co-edit along with Bing I want to ask it one thing at a time and build upon what we’ve created doing that

Through multiple prompts is the best way to do that just keeping in mind that you have a maximum right now of 10 prompts before you have to reset what it remembers and tip number six is to teach bang new skills we already taught it how to write like Stephen King by asking it

To go research that first but you could also do this for other skills as well you can also teach Bing how to do things like generate mid-journey prompts to create images so an example prompt to teach Bing and get it to Output a mid-journey prompt that we could then

Take and then pop into mid journey to generate an image is this so look up how to create image prompts using mid-journey use what you learned to write a prompt that generates whatever image you would like so let’s try an example so look up how to create image

Prompts using mid-journey use what you learned to write a prompt that generates an image of a girl in a yellow dress sipping coffee by the Eiffel Tower so it’s going to search how to create image prompt using mid-journey and we’ll see what it does all right it was having a

Little bit of trouble the first time I tried so I reset my chat and asked it the same prompt again so if you want to reset your chat you can click the broom button here and it’ll restart a new topic again we’re here back to one out

Of ten prompts so I’ve asked it again look up how to create good image prompts for mid-journey is what you learn to create a prompt that outputs a pink hat in space and based on that prompted generate created this image prompt so let me take that and pop that into

Mid-journey and see what it generates so if I took the prompt that being generated for me for a pink cat in space popped that into mid-journey this is the image it gets so you can teach Bing to create images for you now which is pretty cool in my opinion if you’ve

Taught Bing new skills I’d love to know what they are I am just at the beginning of playing with it and figuring out what it can do so if you have any genius things that you’ve used Bing for do drop me a comment below I’d love to hear

About it keeping these prompting tips in mind when you’re using bang chat is going to help you get better results than the vast majority of people so I’ve put together a useful little cheat sheet with all of the best prompt templates and examples so you can craft better

Proms whether you’re using Bing or chat gbt I’ve packaged that all into a PDF that you can download and refer to whenever you’re using any of these AI tools you can grab that for free at the link below but that is it this video guys thank you so much for watching if

You enjoyed this video please give me a thumbs up hit subscribe and share it with a friend that would really really help me out otherwise if you’re ready to learn more about how you can thrive in the digital Revolution then check out one of these videos next and I will see

You guys next time

,00:00 Bing’s new AI chatbot is probably the
00:03 most powerful chat bot available
00:04 publicly at least for now I’ve been
00:07 playing around with Bing chat and taking
00:09 the time to learn how to use this quirky
00:11 but really useful AI tool is going to
00:14 serve you well now and into the future
00:16 as this whole Space accelerates rapidly
00:19 I for one want to keep up so in this
00:22 video I’m sharing the tips and tricks I
00:24 found to be most useful in getting the
00:26 most out of being AI so first up you
00:29 have to get access to Bing’s new chat
00:31 feature and it is not automatic so to
00:33 get access you’re going to want to go
00:35 over to bing.com and if you haven’t
00:37 already yet gotten access there should
00:38 be a button here that says to sign up
00:39 for the waitlist you’re going to click
00:41 that do what it tells you and wait for
00:43 an email to come through granting you
00:45 access what you are going to need to do
00:47 is download the edge browser if you’re
00:49 using your laptop or download the Bing
00:52 app using mobile because as you can see
00:54 this button over here going to click
00:56 that to open up the Bing chat getting
00:59 access was taking a little while I think
01:01 it was one or two weeks before I got in
01:03 at the end of February it took me about
01:05 eight days but once you get in you can
01:06 open up bang chat and this is what it
01:09 looks like very similar to chat gbt in
01:11 that you simply go down here into the
01:13 chat box type your question or your
01:16 instructions and start chatting with
01:18 Bing there are a few limitations to keep
01:21 in mind before we get started Bing does
01:23 have some more strict guard rails than
01:25 Chachi PT does so it is good to keep
01:27 these things in mind when you are
01:29 crafting prompts and using it to get
01:31 what you want so first up there is a
01:33 limit of eight prompts before Bing
01:35 forgets what was said previously in the
01:37 conversation so as you know with Chachi
01:40 BT chat EBT remembers what you said
01:42 beforehand in the conversation and it
01:44 can use that to build on what it’s
01:46 saying and what it is outputting but
01:48 with Bing that is a limit to eight
01:51 prompts before you have to start over
01:52 again now beyond the hard limits to how
01:55 much you can use it there are of course
01:57 some similar limitations as with charge
02:00 EBT in that Bing also does make up or
02:03 hallucinate a lot of things it does lie
02:06 for that reason it is best to fact check
02:08 anything that it says but Bing does make
02:11 that a lot easier than chat TPT because
02:13 it does provide its sources and you can
02:15 click on them and look them up Bing is
02:17 not good at math so if you are asking it
02:19 to do calculations or solve things with
02:22 numbers just be prepared that it’s
02:24 probably going to lie and you’re not
02:25 going to get accurate results but the
02:27 biggest frustration people are having
02:29 with Bing so far is that it sometimes
02:31 shuts down the conversation or refuses
02:34 to continue the conversation if it
02:36 doesn’t like something for some weird
02:38 reason or it’ll even start writing an
02:40 answer and then delete it and refuse to
02:42 go forward so it will do this sometimes
02:44 if it thinks something is mean if it
02:46 thinks something is dishonest or
02:48 unethical and it doesn’t always make
02:50 sense when and why it does this so be
02:53 prepared for that so here are the tips
02:55 and tricks to getting the best
02:57 interesting and useful results out of
03:00 being AI if you’ve used chat GPT before
03:03 working with Bing is basically the same
03:06 process except for one big difference
03:08 and that Bing is connected to the
03:10 internet so you can ask it to look
03:12 things up before it gives you an answer
03:15 if you recall chatgpt is not connected
03:17 to the internet so it only knows things
03:19 that happened up until 2021. with Bing
03:21 we don’t have that issue so it is much
03:24 more powerful so the first tip to get
03:26 the best results out of Bing is to make
03:28 sure you’re choosing the right
03:29 conversation style and if I scroll down
03:32 here just above the chat box you can see
03:34 we have three choices we have creative
03:37 balanced or precise and in most cases
03:40 you’re going to want to choose more
03:41 creative to get the best most
03:43 interesting results otherwise it’s going
03:45 to sound boring and robotic with one
03:47 exception is if you are using Bing to do
03:50 stuff with numbers to calculate stuff
03:52 you want to try to go with more balanced
03:54 and more precise it doesn’t really give
03:56 you anything very interesting but you
03:58 could play around with that if you want
03:59 but for the most part we’re going to be
04:00 going with more creative tip number two
04:03 is to always always always ask Bing to
04:06 search or look something up as part of
04:08 your prompt because this is the major
04:11 strength of Bing over Chad gbt and that
04:14 it is connected to the internet so you
04:16 want to make use of that otherwise you
04:17 might as well just use jagbd and if I
04:19 just type a question here to show you
04:21 what this looks like what is the current
04:22 price of Bitcoin you can see anytime you
04:25 have this little check and it says
04:26 searching for whatever that means you
04:28 have gotten it to perform a search and
04:30 it’s going to reference what it finds in
04:32 the answer it gives you you can see it
04:34 has its references so if I want to
04:37 double check that anything it says is
04:39 correct I can click on those links and
04:41 make sure it is not lying to me if you
04:43 are not getting this little check mark
04:45 and getting it to search for You Bing
04:47 outputs are generally comparable to what
04:49 chat gbt would give out let me show you
04:51 what I mean so let’s say I want to write
04:53 me a paragraph about going on a walk
04:55 through a forest so as you can see with
04:57 this example it didn’t look anything up
04:59 and it’s simply going to write me a
05:01 paragraph about walking through a forest
05:03 so if I read this paragraph it’s pretty
05:04 General it’s it’s all right it’s nothing
05:06 special but let’s try and get it to look
05:09 something up beforehand so we can
05:11 improve this and get a better piece of
05:13 writing so instead let’s ask it to look
05:16 up the writing style of Stephen King
05:18 then use what you’ve learned to improve
05:20 the paragraph
05:22 okay so you can see Bing has searched
05:24 for writing style of Stephen King so and
05:26 then it gives me a little bit of
05:27 analysis on what it found the references
05:29 the resources it used and tells me what
05:32 Stephen King’s writing style is like and
05:34 then it goes and rewrites the story
05:36 about walking through a forest in
05:38 Stephen King’s style and immediately you
05:40 can see it has a more scary feel to
05:42 walking through a forest it focuses more
05:44 on I stepped into the forest and felt a
05:46 chill run down my spine the air was cold
05:48 and stale like a tomb so it’s taking the
05:50 style of Stephen King that it learned
05:53 about in its search and applying that to
05:55 the paragraph about the walk in the
05:57 forest and I just want to point out I
05:58 mentioned before that there’s a limit of
06:00 eight prompts before you have to reset
06:02 and Bing forgets what was said
06:04 beforehand that has now been upped to 10
06:06 so you can see down here this we’re at
06:08 prompt three of ten so if you want to
06:10 make sure that Bing is doing a search
06:14 and including that in your prompt this
06:16 is the general prompt structure that I
06:18 found works for me so your prompt
06:19 structure looks like look up or research
06:21 search X and then use that to Y tip
06:26 number three is to make use of Bing
06:28 suggestions for what to ask next and you
06:31 can see here at the bottom that Bing is
06:34 giving me some suggestions for what to
06:37 say to continue the conversation now
06:38 these aren’t necessarily that useful for
06:41 this specific instance but it often does
06:43 come up with some good ways that you can
06:45 keep conversing with it and this is
06:47 really helpful because talking to an AI
06:50 is pretty foreign to most of us it’s not
06:52 it doesn’t come naturally so having Bing
06:55 help you out by suggesting where to take
06:57 the conversation next can help you get
06:59 unstuck so here just says I could say
07:02 that’s scary write me another paragraph
07:03 or how do you feel about horror probably
07:05 not directions that I want to take maybe
07:06 I do want it to write me another
07:07 paragraph in a different way but I could
07:09 click that and continue on the
07:11 conversation being wealth also sometimes
07:13 end its output with another question
07:15 asking to clarify or if you want to dig
07:17 deeper and expand on what it already
07:19 gave you and that could be really useful
07:20 as well tip number 4 is to use Bing to
07:23 gather and analyze data and since it is
07:26 connected to the internet it is really
07:28 really good at this so for example you
07:30 can get it to do a search then pull all
07:32 that relevant information it finds and
07:34 put together a chart for you say I was
07:36 in the market to buy a new car I want to
07:39 get a small car that is new in 2023. so
07:42 I could ask Bing to search for the best
07:45 compact cars for 2023 look up the make
07:48 the price the mileage the safety rating
07:51 and anything else I might want to know
07:52 in making my decision so let’s put that
07:55 into a prompt
07:58 okay so Bing has searched for best small
08:01 cars in 2023 and it has put together a
08:04 chart with all of the things that I
08:06 requested so we have each car the price
08:08 the mileage and the safety ratings maybe
08:11 I wanted to take this a step further I’m
08:13 still not sure which car I want to buy
08:14 so I can ask Bing to write a report on
08:17 what it found discuss each option and
08:19 why the best one outperforms the others
08:24 all right so it is writing its report
08:26 right now it’s going to take a little
08:28 while it looks pretty long
08:30 um but it is discussing each of the
08:32 options for the cars that I have in that
08:34 chart and hopefully it’s going to tell
08:36 me why the winner is the winner so it’s
08:38 telling me the best option is the Honda
08:39 Civic and it gives me a list of reasons
08:42 why it is the best option so I could go
08:44 out there and buy that car now if I
08:46 wanted to without having to do all of
08:48 the research on my own and that ties Us
08:50 in nicely with tip number five which is
08:52 to use multiple prompts to get better
08:54 results and you can see in the example I
08:57 just completed I didn’t ask for all of
09:00 this at once and I first told Bing to
09:02 look up best small cars in 2023 and
09:04 create the chart then I asked it to
09:06 write a report comparing them by
09:09 breaking this up into multiple prompts
09:11 you reduce your chances of confusing and
09:13 overwhelming Bing and getting the
09:15 problem where it pleases to answer you
09:17 or answers and deletes itself and this
09:19 is really useful for writing tasks so
09:22 instead of me going write me a story
09:23 about a dog who becomes friends with
09:24 bear then it’s going to write itself and
09:27 then maybe that doesn’t come out the way
09:28 I want and I want to say write me a
09:30 scary story about a dog who becomes
09:32 friends with a bear and then maybe I
09:34 don’t like that either and then I write
09:35 again and this is going to regenerate
09:37 the whole story from scratch each time
09:39 with slight variations but instead oh
09:41 yeah and as you can see bang was just
09:44 writing me a huge story and it went and
09:46 deleted it now and and is telling me to
09:49 try different topics so this is the
09:51 quirkiness of Bing that a lot of people
09:53 struggle with
09:54 um but anyways instead of trying
09:56 different prompts and getting the whole
09:57 story generated I might want to generate
09:59 a story and then co-edit along with Bing
10:03 I want to ask it one thing at a time and
10:05 build upon what we’ve created doing that
10:07 through multiple prompts is the best way
10:09 to do that just keeping in mind that you
10:11 have a maximum right now of 10 prompts
10:14 before you have to reset what it
10:15 remembers and tip number six is to teach
10:18 bang new skills we already taught it how
10:21 to write like Stephen King by asking it
10:23 to go research that first but you could
10:25 also do this for other skills as well
10:26 you can also teach Bing how to do things
10:29 like generate mid-journey prompts to
10:31 create images so an example prompt to
10:33 teach Bing and get it to Output a
10:35 mid-journey prompt that we could then
10:36 take and then pop into mid journey to
10:38 generate an image is this so look up how
10:41 to create image prompts using
10:42 mid-journey use what you learned to
10:44 write a prompt that generates whatever
10:45 image you would like so let’s try an
10:49 example so look up how to create image
10:51 prompts using mid-journey use what you
10:52 learned to write a prompt that generates
10:54 an image of a girl in a yellow dress
10:56 sipping coffee by the Eiffel Tower so
10:58 it’s going to search how to create image
11:00 prompt using mid-journey and we’ll see
11:02 what it does all right it was having a
11:04 little bit of trouble the first time I
11:05 tried so I reset my chat and asked it
11:08 the same prompt again so if you want to
11:10 reset your chat you can click the broom
11:12 button here and it’ll restart a new
11:14 topic again we’re here back to one out
11:16 of ten prompts so I’ve asked it again
11:18 look up how to create good image prompts
11:20 for mid-journey is what you learn to
11:21 create a prompt that outputs a pink hat
11:22 in space and based on that prompted
11:24 generate created this image prompt so
11:26 let me take that and pop that into
11:29 mid-journey and see what it generates so
11:32 if I took the prompt that being
11:34 generated for me for a pink cat in space
11:35 popped that into mid-journey this is the
11:37 image it gets so you can teach Bing to
11:40 create images for you now which is
11:42 pretty cool in my opinion if you’ve
11:44 taught Bing new skills I’d love to know
11:45 what they are I am just at the beginning
11:48 of playing with it and figuring out what
11:50 it can do so if you have any genius
11:53 things that you’ve used Bing for do drop
11:56 me a comment below I’d love to hear
11:57 about it keeping these prompting tips in
12:00 mind when you’re using bang chat is
12:01 going to help you get better results
12:03 than the vast majority of people so I’ve
12:06 put together a useful little cheat sheet
12:08 with all of the best prompt templates
12:10 and examples so you can craft better
12:13 proms whether you’re using Bing or chat
